TWICE AS NICE EMBROIDERY!

Today is the 22nd day of the 22nd year of the 2nd millenium! It really must be a real superday today! A day that is twice as good as any other day! Right!

To celebrate this super day I will take the opportunity to wear my "22" earrings that I embroidered for New Years eve.

You can easily make them too using scraps of canvas and some yarn.

This pattern is perfect to use for your 22! I added a few stitches but basically I used this pattern.

Be sure to use a real hard canvas, like a plastic canvas, so you can cut in it without problems.

When you have finished sewing your 2s, iron some interlining on the back of your earrings. I used two layers to make them extra firm. Then you cut around as close as you can without cutting in the embroidery. It is a litte bit tricky so you have to be careful.

When you have cut out the earrings, add a small ring and an erring hook.
