Hello! Hello! Welcome to Walk in to my Closet!

Have you seen the Youtube channel from TrashionPattern? It is brand new and the whole channel is dedicated to textile & fashion upcycling and sustainability.

Two women in a wardrobe, smiling and talking about clothes. The women are Titti Augustsson and Renée from the first episode of Walk in to my Closet by Trashionpattern
Renée has got so many nice memories from this top.

The Youtube channel from TrashionPattern is called Walk in to my Closet. The first closet we walk into belongs to Renée and we upcycle her dress into a top.

Upcycling can be just as easy as that! We just have to take the first step. We need to dare! Dare to cut! Don't be afraid to cut into your clothes. To upcycle, we have to be willing to cut. Cutting into your clothes isn't ruining them, it's reinventing them!

Renée went to a lot of parties in this dress.

In the movie Renée talks about clothes and shares some nice memories from different occassions when she wore the dress. The dress was just hanging there in the wardrobe, she didn't wear it anymore. But she didn't want to get rid of it. She had so many nice memories from it. Our clothes carry all our memories, we live our lives wrapped in textiles.

Dare to cut!

Follow the process and discover how this garment turned from an abandoned pre-loved dress in into a new favourite top. In the film you will follow all the steps as we measure, cut and sew.

I love to cut clothes into pieces!

When we upcycle we can keep all those good memories close to our hearth but we can still go on with our lives and create new ones, new textile memories. And in case we get tired of them....just cut!
